COMPANYHISTORY
WITH PORTUGUESE WINES SINCE 1982
Towards the end of the 1960’s, the company C. da Silva (Wines) Ltd used both H. Klein & Cª and Derivados da Uva, Ltd oenological products. As H. Klein & Cª ceased activity in 1973 and Derivados da Uva, Ltd was reducing theirs, C. da Silva Ltd begun producing some of the products formerly supplied by those companies under Maria Luíza Lima, Eng, then the Production Director of the Chavinha C. da Silva Ltd Warehouses, which were rapidly developing then.
However, as this was not C. da Silva Ltd’s vocation, partner Artur da Silva, Eng, joined Maria Luíza Lima and António Domingues de Sousa to found VIENOL – Oenological Products, Ltd, in 1982.
Right from the start, VIENOL was one step ahead by favouring the technical vanguard offered and fully supplied by VINIPAL, Artur da Silva’s company, specialised in the design and production of food industry equipment.
VIENOL, however, did not evolve at the expected rate as Maria Luíza Lima still managed, simultaneously, first Quinta do Cardo, and then Quinta do Grifo, both with prized accomplishments:

In 2006, upon the sale of Quinta do Grifo, Maria Luíza Lima dedicates herself exclusively to VIENOL, providing a new vitality to the company.
A period of assertive progression follows and, in 2014, the need to implement a new Quality Management System arose, keeping up with the clients’ growing demands.
